Dave Perlman is a results-driven global executive with 22+ years of experience across several industries, including Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Energy, Supply Chain, and Enterprise Software. He has held leadership roles at General Electric, Dell Technologies, Secureworks, Brambles Ltd, and Rubicon Technologies. He has a proven track record of leading large-scale transformation initiatives and helping achieve remarkable revenue and bottom-line growth.

Dave holds a BS degree in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas, Austin.

Chief Customer Officer

Michael brings nearly two decades of leadership and a passion for language and cross-cultural communication to his role as Chief Strategic Accounts Officer at BIG. As President of ISI Language Solutions, he leads a global team of language professionals who focus on helping organizations reduce language-related spending and increase speed-to-market.

Michael is passionate about BIG’s customers, the products they sell, and the people they serve. He brings an unparalleled ability to solve problems creatively. In addition, he is adept at working with multiple departments across diverse companies to ensure that BIG’s language access solutions are dedicated to the goals of its customers. Michael holds a BA from Arizona State University, an MA from the University of South Dakota, and is a Graduate of Chicago Booth’s Executive Education Program.

Chief Technology Officer

Dan joined Language Link in 2006 as a Software Engineer and Business Analyst responsible for the design and development of Language Link’s Translation and Interpretation Management Systems. During his tenure at Language Link, Dan served as Director of Information Technology, Vice President of Operations, and Chief Operations Officer, focusing on technology, strategy, and customer success.

Today, Dan serves as BIG’s Chief Technology Officer as well as President of Language Link, leading a world class team of professionals providing interpretation and translation services to a global audience.

Dan holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington. He has 23 years of business technology experience in several industries including air freight, air transportation, manufacturing, and warehouse distribution.

Chief Operating Officer

Varun is an accomplished and strategic leader serving as the Chief of Staff at BIG Language. With a passion for organizational excellence and a drive for results, Varun brings 14 years of experience in senior management and a diverse background in transforming and growing private equity-backed organizations.

As the Chief of Staff, Varun plays a pivotal role in ensuring effective communication, coordination, and execution of BIG’s organizational goals. He supports critical decision making and growth and transformation initiatives across the organization. His comprehensive understanding of the company’s vision and objectives empowers him to collaborate closely with the executive team, providing valuable insights and strategic guidance. Currently, as Chief of Staff, Varun leads key supports functions including Human Resources, Finance, Strategy, & Business Excellence Team.

Prior to joining BIG Language Solutions, Varun held several key leadership positions where he led cross-functional teams, facilitated collaboration at all levels, and successfully implemented initiatives that optimized business operations. With a talent for fostering a positive and inclusive work culture, Varun motivates teams to surpass expectations and achieve exceptional results.
Varun holds MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, LA and earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from University of Delhi, India.

Head of Operations

Paola started in the language industry over 12 years ago. Her multidisciplinary background, combining law, localization and commercial operations support the development of creative solutions for clients and team member alike. Paola is focused on building collaborative, strong relationships between clients, partners and colleagues to drive results.

Paola is a law graduate from University of Bologna.

Senior Vice President, Translation Operations

Anna started out 18 years ago in the language industry as a translator, then transitioned to project management roles. Anna now leads operations teams across APAC, EMEA and the US. Known for her passion for process optimization and strong problem-solving skills, Anna’s unwavering focus on client satisfaction drives organizational excellence and results.

Anna holds an MA from University College London and is an EMBA candidate at the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
